Quentin Prugnieres of F&H Racing has scored a top ten moto finish at the opening round of the world championship MX2 in Neuquen, Argentina.
Prugnieres was looking forward to the opening race of the season after a good winter period full of preparation. On Saturday he wasn’t feeling at home on the track and was riding tight. After a good chat with team coach, Marc de Reuver, things were completely different on Sunday.
Prugnieres was fighting for every position and managed to finish in a strong ninth place in the opening moto.
In the second moto he started well again and it looked like that a top ten position was possible. But due to a mistake he lost rhythm and this cost him several positions. Prugnieres kept fighting till the end and managed to secure sixteenth position when the flag fell.
With a 9-16 in the motos, he finished in 13th position overall. In the weekend of the 23rd and the 24th of March, the second round of the world championship will be held in Arroyomolinos in Spain.
